Mecanizou stands out as a true game-changer in the automotive industry, providing mechanics with a more transparent, efficient, and digital experience when handling repairs.
Powered by a deep mechanic expertise, the company provides an ecosystem that processes multiple categories and kinds of auto parts annually. This proficiency assists mechanical workshops, insurance companies, fleets, automakers, financial product creators, and management software developers achieve desired outcomes. It also ensures end customers receive consistent support throughout a transaction.
Currently, Brazil has around 600 factories, 50,000 sellers, 120,000 mechanical workshops, and 100 million SKUs of auto parts. In every case, the parties involved must consolidate crucial information about the auto parts, applications, technical specifications, and payment terms. This, coupled with a significant influx of unsuitable auto parts, untimely deliveries, and limited access to credit ratings, results in numerous operational inefficiencies.

Flipping this script, Mecanizou developed a proprietary technology to identify a vehicle and its corresponding parts—sourced from manufacturers, retailers, and distributors. It leverages deep machine learning intelligence to empower mechanics with a broader range of spares. The platform combines catalog and warehouse information to create a 'virtual stock' and establish business rules for real-time stock availability. This empowers users to select the best options regarding price, delivery, and product range.
“Our technology can adapt to the latest manufacturer directories and real-life experiences from suppliers and consumers to boost the platform's continuous evolution towards a sought-after tool for all automotive mechanics,” says Ian Faria, founder and CEO of Mecanizou.
It also offers a variety of features, including customized pricing, valuable promotions, and integration with various platforms and plugins for an enhanced user experience. Two of its most valued customers are Brazil’s Galeranicar and Giba’s Auto Service.
For the former, Mecanizou replaced their basic equipment, which limited services scope and prolonged repair times, with its automotive elevator to drastically improve operational capacity and mechanical capabilities. This allowed Galeranicar to service three times the cars per month and acquire five times the number of parts compared to earlier numbers.
Similarly, before Giba’s Auto Service became one of the company’s official suppliers, they hesitated to accept imported cars, stating parts are often hard to find and very expensive. With Mecanizou, they found a reliable sourcing partner, which broadened their clientele to non-native vehicle owners, ultimately boosting revenue.
Successes like these showcase Mecanizou's focus on treating mechanics like central decision-makers that store valuable market insights, including discerning which parts to use, what brands to incorporate, and when replacements should occur.
Traditionally, mechanics dealing with multiple car brands were limited to sourcing parts from local dealers. Fortunately, Mecanizou offers 300-plus distributors and retailers along with product catalogs encompassing over 200 manufacturers to proactively locate best-suited parts. It employs various APIs with car registries to retrieve a license, number plate, or vehicle identification number (VIN) and comprehend part names, motor engines, brake disks, and other specifications.

Mecanizou has creatively developed a variety of integrations to tackle complex API-driven challenges, improving seamless interactions between suppliers and retailers. These integrations optimize communication channels, streamlining processes for both suppliers and retailers within the automotive parts supply chain.

This flexibility helps find an exact technical match within seconds, opening up opportunities for customers to determine compatible brands. They can also review and explore applications across several car models and view additional product images beforehand.
Mecanizou prioritizes improving mechanics’ impact on the larger automotive industry. Mechanics, while traditionally seen as the 'unsung heroes,' are often perceived as the weakest link in the robust automotive supply chain. This contrasts the importance of hard-working mechanics considered essential services during the pandemic. Recognizing the disparity, the company seized the opportunity to reshape the market and empower thousands of mechanics in making better purchases on its digital platform.
In contrast to inflexible return policies, billing, overstock, and logistics, Mecanizou’s single-click replacement delivers a seamless exchange of products. It provides a time-saving tracking feature to monitor end-to-end delivery, ensuring components reach workshops within 55 minutes across São Paulo.
Moving forward, it plans to capitalize on the imminent opportunities driven by the burgeoning global mechanics network and continue investing in their growth and development.
